Telehealth consent

Last updated: 15 May 2026

This Telehealth Consent describes how care is delivered through Dailys and asks you to confirm that you understand the nature, benefits, risks, and limits of receiving care online. It is intended to comply with Department of Health Administrative Order No. 2020-0016 (“Guidelines on the Practice of Telemedicine in the Philippines”), the Code of Ethics of the Philippine Medical Association, and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

1. Purpose

Dailys connects Filipinos with Philippine-licensed physicians for the assessment and treatment of hair-related conditions. Care is provided through online questionnaires, secure messaging, and — when the physician requests it — video consultation. Medications, when prescribed, are compounded and dispensed by our licensed Philippine pharmacy partner, which holds a valid Philippines FDA License to Operate.

2. How virtual care works

You complete a medical questionnaire about your hair, general health, medications, and goals. A Philippine-licensed physician reviews your information, may ask follow-up questions through secure messaging, and decides whether telehealth is appropriate for you. If the physician approves treatment, a prescription is issued and sent to our pharmacy partner. If the physician determines that in-person evaluation is needed, you will be advised accordingly and will not be charged for any prescription that is not issued.

3. Anticipated benefits

  • Access to a Philippine-licensed physician without travel.
  • Discreet evaluation and treatment for a sensitive concern.
  • Continuity of care through ongoing messaging, refills, and follow-up.
  • Faster access to evidence-based treatment than many in-person pathways.

4. Potential risks of virtual care

  • Without a physical examination, some conditions may be harder to identify; a physician may need to refer you to in-person care.
  • Technology problems (internet outages, software issues) can delay communication.
  • Even with strong security, no electronic system can guarantee absolute privacy. Email and SMS are less secure than messages sent inside your Dailys account, and we recommend you use the in-account channel for any clinical question.
  • Side effects of medication can occur. Your physician will discuss these with you, and our Medical Disclaimer describes the most common ones.

5. Emergencies and when telehealth is not appropriate

Dailys is not designed for emergencies or for life-threatening conditions. If you experience chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe allergic reactions, suicidal thoughts, or any other emergency, call 911, contact the Bureau of Fire Protection's emergency line, or proceed to the nearest hospital. Do not use the Dailys messaging system to report an emergency.

6. Limitations of virtual care

Telehealth cannot fully replace an in-person physical examination. Your physician may decline to prescribe and instead refer you to in-person care if your condition or history requires it. Telehealth is not appropriate for every patient or every condition.

7. Compounded products and the pharmacy partner

If a prescription is issued, the medication may be compounded — that is, formulated specifically for you by our licensed Philippine pharmacy partner under the prescribing physician's instructions. Compounded products are made for the individual patient and are not pre-registered with the FDA as finished consumer products; they are subject instead to the FDA rules that apply to compounding pharmacies. Your physician will explain the rationale for any compounded prescription before it is issued.

8. Data privacy and protection

Your personal data and health information are processed under our Privacy Policy and in accordance with RA 10173. Records are kept securely, with encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive data, role-based access for clinical and operations staff, and audit logging of access. You can reach our Data Protection Officer at admin@dailys.ph.

9. Access to your health records

You have the right to access, correct, and request a copy of your health records under RA 10173 and the records-management standards that apply to PRC-licensed physicians. To request a copy, write to hello@dailys.ph or to the DPO; we will respond within fifteen (15) business days.

10. Your right to refuse or withdraw consent

Your participation in telehealth is voluntary. You may decline to start care, ask questions before consenting, or withdraw your consent for any future care at any time without penalty. Withdrawing consent for future care does not affect treatment that has already been provided or medication that has already been dispensed.

11. Your acknowledgements

By proceeding with a Dailys consultation and accepting any prescription that is issued, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood this Telehealth Consent.
  • You are at least eighteen (18) years old and reside in the Philippines.
  • You consent to receive care from a Philippine-licensed physician through online questionnaires, secure messaging, and (when requested) video.
  • You have provided accurate information about your health to the best of your knowledge and will update Dailys if anything material changes.
  • You understand the benefits, risks, and limitations of virtual care described above and accept them.
  • You consent to the processing of your personal and sensitive personal information under our Privacy Policy and RA 10173 for the purpose of receiving care.
